- authentication improvements, especially using external auth services or passkeys
- adds back the + button on the top-left corner of the Home screen, for direct access to adding sites by URL

- reloads the last URL on the rare occasion when webview crashes, similar to how Safari handles webpage crashes

- adds a subtle indicator at the top of the webview for easier dismissal via top-to-bottom swipe

The app now registers a background task that updates the badge counts and if there are new items, it shows a notification to the user (example: "1 new notification, see what's new on discourse.examplesite.com"). 1.8.15 04/11/2024 NEW: now the app supports chat notification counts.

This version also makes fewer and more efficient calls to show the badge counts in the app's homepage. 1.8.14 03/22/2024 Fixes a long-standing bug with badge counts being reset too quickly. The issue only happened with sites that weren't hosted by Discourse. Many thanks (and apologies) to longstanding user Matt Sephton for reporting this issue and bearing with us, it took us a long time to fix it.

This version also adds a nudge to users who have notifications disabled. Now when adding a new site, a small toast message will appear to suggest enabling push notifications (it's not a dialog, just a small message at the bottom of the screen). 1.8.13 11/25/2023 Updates PM notification count badge (green) logic to match recent changes in Discourse core. 1.8.12 11/16/2023 Compatibility fixes for new iPhones. 1.8.11 09/30/2023 Fixes a startup crash issue when running the app on macOS via Catalyst. 1.8.10 06/07/2023 Bug fixes and dark mode improvements. 1.8.9 06/05/2023 Minor bug fixes and performance improvements. 1.8.8 02/21/2023
